There was once lots of water on Mars

Greenheugh Pediment April 9 2020 by NASA/JPL-Caltech/MSSS

I remember that when I was a kid, we used to ask ourselves if liquid water exist on another planet of our solar system. The logical next step was to say, if there is liquid water elsewhere, there must also be life.

Well, it looks like there once was lots of water on Mars. Day after day we discover more and more evidence. We are slowly but surely putting the piece of the puzzle together and once day we will have an accurate story of what happened on Mars that made all that water go away.

Until then, we can admire the landscape and images sent by our Mars rovers.

NASA's rover Mars Pathfinder put its feet on the edges of what looks like an ocean. https://scholar.google.co.uk/scholar?as_ylo=2020&q=author:%22J.+A.+P.+Rodriguez%22&hl=en&as_sdt=0,5
